My Diary
I Couldn’t Throw the Empty Bottle Away Yet
Dear Delyara, It was just shampoo. Finished, squeezed flat, of no practical use anymore. Still, I left it on the side of the bath instead of putting it in the recycling straight away. Not because I needed it. Because throwing it out felt like one more small act of completion in a day where I had already completed too much for too many people. That sounds ridiculous when I read it back. It still felt true. I think sometimes the body resists not the object itself but the continuation of being the one who must notice, decide, finish, clear, and move every single thing onward all the time. The bottle stayed there until bedtime. It felt like the tiniest rebellion in the world.
