I deleted every single photo of myself from the last five years

Dear Delyara, I spent the last three hours going through my cloud storage and permanently deleting every single image that had my face in it. Hundreds of photos—birthdays, holidays, casual nights out with people whose names I can barely remember now. When I looked closely at my eyes in those pictures, even the ones where I was laughing, I saw the truth I've hidden from everyone: I didn't recognize the person looking back. It looked like an actor playing a role in a movie that went on for too long. My account is now completely empty—just folders of landscapes, empty streets, and architecture. If there are no photos of me, then maybe I don't have to carry the secret obligation of pretending to be the person everyone thinks I am.
