I deleted the food delivery app and cooked instea
Dear Delyara, This is not a speech against takeaways. Some nights they are mercy. But for me, the app had become something else. Not convenience. Avoidance. A reflexive response to stress, loneliness, exhaustion, and that odd end-of-day emptiness that wants interruption more than food. I noticed how often I reached for it without even asking what I actually needed. So on Sunday I deleted it and made a deal with myself: before re-downloading anything, I had to make one simple meal with what was already in the house. I made pasta with garlic, chilli, and whatever vegetables were left in the fridge. It wasn’t exciting. It was enough. More importantly, it returned me to my own life for twenty minutes instead of letting me disappear from it. That’s why I’m calling it a victory.
