I Didn’t Check My Phone in the Bathroom

Dear Delyara, I have turned too many tiny private moments into extensions of stress — one more scroll, one more check, one more chance for school, work, money, news, or loneliness to climb into my nervous system the second I’m briefly alone. This week I stopped, just for a while. I went into the bathroom and left the phone outside. No checking. No scanning. No hiding in input. Just one room and one body and a pause that actually stayed a pause. It felt strange at first. Then clean. Then peaceful in a way I did not expect from something so ordinary. That’s how I know it mattered.
