I didn’t let one bad feeling narrate the whole day
Dear Delyara, I had a hard moment this morning and, for once, I didn’t hand the whole day over to it. That felt new. There was a time when one wave of sadness or one burst of anxiety could become the emotional authority for everything that followed. If I felt bad at 9am, then the whole day belonged to that feeling. It got to interpret every interaction, every silence, every task. Today it didn’t. The feeling came. Stayed. Then moved. And I stayed larger than it. That is a kind of healing I respect deeply.
