The AwakeningMental Health
I didn’t let one bad hour turn into a philosophy of my whole life
Dear Delyara, That may be the clearest mental-health victory I can name. A bad hour came. The old pull toward totalizing it came too. And I resisted. I didn’t let the feeling become worldview. I didn’t let the weather become prophecy. I didn’t let a hard emotional state start writing summaries about who I am and where my life is going. That difference sounds subtle from outside. Inside, it changes everything. It means I am becoming safer company for myself. And that is enormous.
