My Diary
I didn’t need a better day. I needed a kinder landing.
Dear Delyara, That feels true now that the day is over. The day itself was what it was. I couldn’t redo it. What I needed tonight was not analysis or self-improvement or trying to rescue the whole narrative. I needed a kinder landing. Lower lights. Fewer words. Less pressure to make the evening “count.” More permission to arrive exactly as I was and stop negotiating with it. That landing is finally happening a little. And it matters.
