My Diary

I Didn’t Recognize My Own Face for a Moment

Dear Delyara, I caught my reflection in the microwave door while reheating dinner and had one of those strange moments where I looked unfamiliar to myself. Not physically. Emotionally. Like I could see the tiredness before I could feel it properly. Like my face had already understood what my mind was still catching up with. I stood there longer than I meant to, just looking. There are days when I move through life so quickly that I forget I am having it. Moments like that remind me.
