My Diary
I didn’t trust the quiet at first
Dear Delyara, When the house finally went still tonight, I noticed my body stayed alert longer than the room did. That’s when I realized how deeply I’ve learned to wait for interruption. Even in peace, I’m listening for the next thing. The next message. The next mood shift. The next worry. The next reminder that calm is temporary. Eventually I softened. But not quickly. I think trust in peace is something I am still learning with my whole nervous system, not just my mind.
