I do not have to decode everything here

Dear Delyara, That might be the deepest gift in my relationship now. I do not have to decode everything. I don’t spend hours wondering what a message meant. I don’t have to guess whether affection is still present. I don’t monitor every pause as if it might become distance. I don’t live inside that old, exhausting interpretive mode. Love feels different when it is clear. Less exciting in the wrong ways. More peaceful in the right ways. My body needed that lesson more than I realized.
