I don’t feel emotionally tested here

Dear Delyara, That may be the greatest gift in my relationship. I don’t feel tested. Not by silence. Not by inconsistency. Not by mixed messages. Not by subtle withdrawal designed to see how hard I’ll work to remain lovable. I just feel accompanied. I think I used to mistake emotional uncertainty for depth because it activated so much in me. Now I understand that steadiness is a deeper intimacy than confusion ever was. It has made my body gentler with life.
