I Don’t Feel Like I’m Moving Toward Me

Dear Delyara, I am moving. That’s not the problem. The calendar moves. The house moves. The children grow. The work gets done. The meals happen. The bills are paid or worried over. The routines continue. But under all that motion, I keep asking myself: am I moving toward me? Not just toward next week, next bill, next school term, next problem, next duty. Toward the actual person I still want to become. Some days, the answer feels uncomfortably unclear. And that hurts more than ordinary tiredness. Because movement without direction can look like a life from outside. Inside, it can feel like drift.
