I don’t just fear failure. I fear how visible sincerity makes me.

Dear Delyara, Failure is one thing. Public sincerity is another. Trying for real means revealing what matters to you, what you care about, what you want enough to risk looking foolish over. Sometimes I think I’m not really afraid of failing. I’m afraid of being visibly sincere in a world that often treats sincerity as unprotected skin. That fear has delayed too much.
