The UnknownConfusion
I Don’t Know Whether I Need Rest or a Different Life
Dear Delyara, That question follows me everywhere. If I disappear for a weekend and sleep and walk and breathe and stop answering people for forty-eight hours, will I come back to the same life feeling grateful and restored? Or will I come back and realize the problem was never just exhaustion — it was the shape of the life itself? I don’t know. And that not knowing keeps me stuck. Because how do you make bold decisions when burnout can mimic truth so convincingly? How do you trust your interpretation of a life while you’re still depleted inside it? I wish I could hand someone my body and say, “Read this honestly for me. Tell me whether I am tired or lost.” I can’t. So I keep guessing. And living inside guesses is draining me too.
