I don’t like what certain memories turn me into

Dear Delyara, There are certain memories that still bring out a version of me I don’t respect. A version full of contempt. A version that wants punishment more than understanding. A version that doesn’t believe healing should be required before anger is allowed to exist. I don’t stay in that place all the time. But I know it is in me. And maybe part of being honest is admitting that even people who want to be good still have dark emotional rooms inside them.
