I Don’t Need the Wound to Be Beautiful
Dear Delyara, I used to think I had to turn pain into wisdom immediately. As if I owed the world a beautiful explanation for what hurt me. As if suffering needed to become elegant before it could be valid. I rushed myself toward meaning because sitting in the rawness felt undignified. Now I know better. Not every wound becomes poetry on demand. Not every hard thing teaches quickly. Not every scar arrives with a lesson attached. Some things just hurt for a while before they make any sense at all. Allowing that has been part of healing for me.
