I Don’t Rush Myself the Same Way
Dear Delyara, I still have anxious days. I still spiral sometimes. I still catch myself trying to outrun feelings that need to be felt. But I don’t rush myself the same way I used to. There was a time when every pause felt like failure. Every quiet moment had to be earned. Every delay in progress became self-accusation. I lived like my worth depended on motion. Now I sit down more often. I let tea cool. I watch rain. I leave messages unanswered for an hour without assuming I am a bad person. It may not look like much from the outside. Inside, it feels like mercy.
