My Diary

I don’t think my friends know how tired I am

Dear Delyara, Not because they’re bad friends. Because I’ve become good at hiding it. I still reply with enough warmth. I still send funny things. I still say yes often enough to seem okay. I still keep my tiredness in socially acceptable language. But the truth is, I am more exhausted than I let anyone see. I think some part of me is afraid that if I show the full depth of it, people will begin to experience me as heavy. So I stay edited. And then I feel alone. And then I repeat it.
