Small JoysQuiet Moments

I drank one cup of tea while it was still hot and nobody reached for me once

Dear Delyara, I want to write this down because people underestimate how much a life can change through one uninterrupted ordinary thing. The tea stayed hot. The chair stayed mine. No child called me. No phone lit up. No one asked where something was. No task inserted itself into the moment halfway through. I simply sat there and drank the whole mug from first sip to last while looking out of the window at absolutely nothing important. That felt like peace. Not because tea is magic. Because completion is rare in my days. So many things reach me already broken, delayed, half-owned by someone else’s need, or interrupted before they become fully mine. This one did not. I cannot explain why that made me feel so emotional. I only know it did.
