Small JoysQuiet Moments
I drank one hot cup of tea from beginning to end without being interrupted and it almost made me cry
Dear Delyara, That sounds ridiculous until you live a life in fragments. The tea stayed hot. No child called my name. No app lit up. No work message arrived. No “while you’re there.” No practical demand entered the room halfway through. It was just one mug, one chair, one quiet body, one whole complete small experience. And what moved me was not the tea. It was completion. So much of my life now reaches me already broken, delayed, or half-owned by somebody else’s need before it fully becomes mine. This did not. It arrived whole and stayed whole long enough to actually reach my nervous system. No wonder it almost made me cry. I am hungry for wholeness in much smaller forms than I used to be.
