The WeightGuilt
I feel guilty when I don’t answer quickly enough
Dear Delyara, Even when I know why I didn’t answer. Work. Children. The house. Low battery. Mental overload. One message too many. A body that simply did not have one more emotionally correct response available in the hour it was expected. Still, when I reply later, I carry guilt with it like a second attachment. I hate that. Because it means even my limits become one more thing I have to apologise for. Some days I feel like the modern world has turned response time into a kind of morality test, and I am too tired to keep passing it cleanly.
