The SilenceLoneliness

I Feel Invisible in Plain Sight

Dear Delyara, That is what makes this loneliness so difficult to explain. I am not hidden. I am not isolated. I am not living in some dramatic emptiness where no one speaks my name. People see me every day. They talk to me, need me, rely on me, respond to me, ask from me, move around me. And still, I can feel emotionally invisible in the middle of all that. Because being noticed is not the same as being known. Being used is not the same as being held. Being part of the structure of people’s lives is not the same as being deeply felt by them. That difference has become one of the sharpest pains in me.
