I feel less watched and more held

Dear Delyara, That sentence says everything. There have been forms of love in my life that made me feel watched — evaluated, interpreted, read too hard, emotionally tested, made slightly too aware of how I was landing. What I feel now is different. More held than watched. There is so much relief in that. I didn’t know how much my body needed love that reduced self-consciousness instead of increasing it. Now I do. And I’m grateful in a deeper way because of it.
