I feel like something is wrong, and I cannot name it

Dear Delyara, If the problem had a name, I could speak to it. If it had a shape, I could act. If it had a source, I could maybe negotiate with it. But this is different. This is waking up with a heaviness I cannot fully explain, moving through the day with a kind of emotional static in the background, feeling less present than I should and more uneasy than the circumstances seem to justify. Nothing dramatic is happening. Nothing obvious is broken. And still, I do not feel right inside my own life. That kind of not-knowing is exhausting. I keep asking myself tired questions. Is it hormones? Burnout? Grief? Depression? A spiritual crisis? Suppressed anger? Some bodily issue I’ve been minimising? The result of years of self-abandonment finally becoming too heavy to carry without symptoms? I don’t know. What I do know is that unnamed pain is lonely in a special way. People understand events. They understand diagnoses. They understand stories with clean beginnings. This is messier. Harder to explain. Easier to dismiss. And because I can’t name it well, I keep half-protecting other people from it and half-hiding from it myself. That’s no way to live. It is still how I’ve been living.
