I Feel Married and Alone

Dear Delyara, There is someone beside me in the practical sense. Shared home. Shared bed. Shared children. Shared bills. Shared routines. Shared years. And still, there are moments where I feel emotionally unaccompanied in ways that are almost harder to bear because there is no simple visible reason for them. Not every marriage pain is crisis. Some of it is drought. Some of it is not being asked. Not being read. Not being emotionally arrived at before you have become tired enough to either harden or cry. That is where I live too often now. In the ordinary loneliness of a marriage that still looks intact.
