My Diary

I fell asleep feeling unspoken

Dear Delyara, I had talked all day. Answered all day. Functioned all day. But the real things in me remained mostly untouched and unnamed. By bedtime, I could feel how much of my life had been spent in practical language while the emotional truth of the day sat quietly under everything, unspoken and unheld. That kind of tiredness is not only physical. It is the exhaustion of carrying inner weather through outer tasks without ever finding the right opening to tell the truth of it. I slept. But I slept like someone still waiting to be understood.
