My Diary
I fell asleep still carrying everybody
Dear Delyara, The children’s moods. Tomorrow’s timetable. One money worry. One work thing. The dog’s medicine. The form I still needed to sign. The unanswered text. The state of the kitchen. The weather. Everything. By the time I lay down, I could feel that none of it had actually left me. It had simply come to bed too. I think that’s one of the hardest parts of being the one who holds the house emotionally and practically. The day doesn’t really end. It just lies down beside you and waits to start again.
