I felt allowed to arrive incomplete and still be loved properly
Dear Delyara, That sentence still feels astonishing to me. Not because I thought I was unlovable, exactly. Because I had gotten too used to relationships where incompleteness became a subtle performance issue — where confusion, tiredness, slowness, mixed feelings, or ordinary human messiness had to be handled beautifully in order to remain safe inside the connection. This week I didn’t feel that pressure. I felt allowed to be mid-process, less polished, less resolved, and still entirely held. That kind of love changes the body. It teaches the nervous system that connection does not have to depend on performance. I’m deeply grateful for that lesson.
