My Diary
I felt better once the sky got darker
Dear Delyara, I don’t know why evening helps me sometimes. Maybe because the world asks less of me once it gets dark. Maybe because light can feel exposing when I’m tired. Maybe because evening gives permission to stop pretending that I still have endless emotional energy available for the day. Tonight the sky getting darker calmed me more than anything practical did. I stood by the window and let the room shift with the light, and for a little while my mind became less sharp. That was enough. More than enough, actually.
