My Diary

I felt better when the rain started

Dear Delyara, I had a strange day. Restless from the beginning. Irritated by small things. Too sensitive to noise, too easily wounded by tone, too aware of everyone else’s energy. Then, on my way home, it started raining. Not dramatically. Just enough to soften the air. And somehow that helped. I don’t know why weather reaches me the way it does. Maybe because it asks nothing. Maybe because rain feels honest. It doesn’t try to be useful or inspiring. It just arrives and changes the atmosphere. I stood under the porch for a minute before going in, just watching the pavement darken. For those few minutes, my thoughts loosened. I’m writing this down because I want to remember that relief still reaches me in small ways.
