The SilenceLoneliness

I felt lonelier in the group chat than I do alone

Dear Delyara, Messages everywhere. Conversation happening. People responding. And still, I felt oddly untouched. I think loneliness now often wears this exact shape: being included in activity without feeling met in any real way. Participating at the level of surface while something deeper in you remains entirely unaccompanied. The group chat looked busy. My inner life did not feel less alone because of it. If anything, the contrast sharpened the loneliness. So much contact. So little accurate closeness. That kind of loneliness is hard to admit because it sounds ungrateful. It isn’t. It’s just precise.
