I Felt Older Today

Dear Delyara, Not physically. Emotionally. I think it was the way I looked at certain things and felt less drama than I would have once felt. Less urgency. Less need to chase clarity from people who don’t know how to give it. Less fantasy about changing someone’s nature by loving them well enough. That kind of emotional age feels expensive. You earn it through disappointment, mostly. Still, I’m grateful for it. Even if it came the hard way.
