I felt smaller after checking my account

Dear Delyara, It happened so fast. One glance, a few numbers, a few quick mental calculations, and suddenly the whole emotional atmosphere of the day changed. The room felt smaller. My future felt less spacious. Even small comforts started feeling morally complicated. I hate how quickly money can affect dignity in me. I know it’s practical. But it doesn’t stay practical for long. Tonight, I’m still carrying that feeling. Smaller than I was an hour before it.
