I felt too reachable all day

Dear Delyara, My phone made me feel crowded today. Every time it lit up, I felt that small internal drop. Not because anyone did anything wrong. Just because I am tired of always being available to be entered — by questions, updates, requests, expectations, reminders, little pieces of other people’s lives landing in mine before I’ve even had time to settle into myself. By the evening, even harmless messages felt intrusive. I don’t think I want to disconnect from people. I think I want some of my mind back.
