My Diary

I felt too reachable and too alone

Dear Delyara, That contradiction feels like modern life to me. All day I was reachable. Easily, instantly, repeatedly reachable. Messages, updates, small expectations, all of it. And still, underneath that constant contact, I felt deeply alone in the things that actually mattered emotionally. I think that’s why certain days feel so strange now. There is no lack of contact. There is a lack of depth. Being reachable is not the same as being held. Being answered is not the same as being known. Today made that difference feel painfully obvious.
