I felt too visible and too unknown at the same time

Dear Delyara, This is one of the strangest feelings I know. Today I felt very visible — spoken to, included, noticed, expected to respond, expected to participate. And at the same time, I felt deeply unknown. As if all the contact happening around me was landing on the surface version of me, while the actual center of me remained completely untouched. I don’t know how to explain that without sounding ungrateful. It isn’t that people were unkind. It’s that being seen socially is not the same as being felt accurately. That difference exhausted me today.
