I finally faced the money properly and made a plan

Dear Delyara, I had been living in financial dread for months. Not catastrophe. Just constant fear. I was opening the app with one eye closed. Avoiding letters for a day or two too long. Guessing instead of calculating. Living in a fog of “probably fine” and “hopefully manageable” because the actual truth felt too frightening to look at directly. Last month I sat down with everything. All of it. The bills, the debt, the outgoing payments, the subscriptions I had forgotten about, the school costs, the real number, not the softened number in my head. I cried halfway through because shame was so close to the surface. Then I kept going. I cancelled what I could. I called one company. I arranged a payment plan. I made a proper weekly budget instead of just carrying private panic around like it counted as management. I am not rich now. I am not free of pressure. But I am no longer living in fog. That feels like a financial victory to me. Not abundance. Honesty.
