I finally took the medication regularly instead of only when things got bad
Dear Delyara, I’m embarrassed to admit how long I resisted simple consistency. Part of it was denial. If I only took it when things got bad, I could still pretend it wasn’t really an ongoing issue. Regular medication felt like admitting something about myself I wasn’t ready to say out loud. This month I stopped playing games with it. I set the alarm, took it properly, and let consistency be care instead of proof of weakness. It has helped. That is the simple truth. And I’m proud of myself for letting help happen.
