I Finished While Carrying More Than Anyone Knew

Dear Delyara, One of the reasons I’m proud of myself academically is that very few people know what I was carrying while I was doing the work. They saw the result. They didn’t see the emotional weather. They didn’t see the nights I revised while trying not to cry. The mornings I turned up while privately unraveling. The effort it took to stay mentally present enough to complete tasks when my inner life was somewhere else entirely. There are achievements that look ordinary only because the struggle behind them stayed invisible. This is one of mine.
