My Diary
I forgot my own appointment and remembered everybody else’s
Dear Delyara, I remembered the school money, the medicine, the dog food, the work form, and the library book. Then at four in the afternoon, I suddenly realised I had completely missed my own appointment. I rebooked it. Still, I carried the shame of it for hours. Because self-neglect in my life rarely looks dramatic. It looks like competence for everybody else and absence for me.
