My Diary

I found myself tidying angrily, which is never a good sign

Dear Delyara, It’s one of my tells. When I am moving too fast, stacking things too sharply, wiping surfaces as if they personally offended me, I know I am no longer tidying because it needs doing. I am trying to discharge feeling through straight lines. That was me tonight. Nothing major had happened. Which was exactly the problem. Just too many small things, too little inward room, and one of those evenings where every object looked like evidence that life had entered me without asking enough permission. So I tidied like a woman trying to force calm to arrive through speed. It didn’t work immediately. It rarely does. But it did help me notice where I was before I took it out on someone with a face.
