My Diary

I found the library book under the passenger seat and felt immediate relief

Dear Delyara, Not because I adore library books. Because I was tired of carrying the fact that I had lost it. It had been sitting in my mind for days, taking up more emotional space than it deserved. Not only because of the fine or the mild embarrassment. Because every unresolved little thing in life seems to become heavier when the rest of you is already stretched. When I found it under the seat, I actually said “oh, thank God” out loud to an empty car. That’s how much energy some tiny unfinished tasks quietly consume in the background. You don’t notice it until they resolve and suddenly you feel room again where something small but constant had been sitting.
