My Diary

I found the school letter under my pillow

Dear Delyara, I have no idea how it got there. I only found it because I sat down on the bed and felt paper under my hand. It was folded, slightly creased, and important enough that it should never have been anywhere near a pillow in the first place. I must have carried it upstairs while doing five other things and then vanished into some other task before I remembered I was holding it. That’s what this stage of life feels like now. Nothing stays where it belongs for long. Not objects, not thoughts, not energy. Everything gets picked up in motion and dropped in the wrong emotional room. I signed the form, put it by the door, and felt that familiar mix of relief and unease. Relief because I found it. Unease because my mind seems to be living one step behind my hands lately.
