My Diary
I Got Into Bed Already Bracing for Tomorrow
Dear Delyara, That’s what I noticed. Not sleepiness. Bracing. The school things. The morning tone. The lunchboxes. The work message I still hadn’t answered. The money thought I knew would be waiting as soon as I woke up. The small body worry. The child I’m watching closely. The conversation I keep postponing. I slid under the covers and could feel tomorrow already entering me before today had even fully left. That’s a brutal way to live, I think. Being physically horizontal and emotionally leaning forward into the next burden already. Still, that was the truth.
