I had a low moment and did not turn it into an identity

Dear Delyara, That still feels like one of my greatest victories. There was a time when one low hour could become a full emotional verdict. It got to explain everything else, predict everything else, color everything else. Now, more often, I can say: this is a hard moment, not the whole truth. That distinction has changed my life more quietly than people realize. It doesn’t make pain disappear. It makes me larger than it. And that has given me so much room.
