My Diary

I had a soft hour and it mattered

Dear Delyara, This evening I had one soft hour. No one asked anything from me. I made toast, folded a blanket, watered a plant, and sat with the window open while the light changed. It sounds so ordinary that I almost didn’t write it down. But it mattered. Sometimes I forget how deeply I need gentleness until I stumble into it by accident. I am so used to urgency, noise, obligation, and emotional management that one quiet hour can feel like a form of rescue. I want more of my life to feel like that. Not exciting. Not dramatic. Just soft enough to breathe in.
