I had one evening where my mind did not run ahead and set traps for tomorrow

Dear Delyara, No budget maths. No school timings. No replaying work. No subtle panic in the costume of organisation. No “don’t forget.” No emotional rehearsal. No running ahead to manage pain before pain had even arrived. Just one evening where my mind stayed with my body in the room. That sounds simple. It wasn’t. I think peace is often misdescribed. People make it sound grand and spiritual and bright. For me, it is much plainer: an hour where the future does not enter as pressure. An hour where my own mind stops treating tomorrow like an emergency before today has even ended. That happened. It mattered far more than most larger things did this week.
