I had one evening where my mind stayed in the same room as my body

Dear Delyara, That is peace for me now. Not perfection. Not transcendence. Not some huge healed version of life. Just one evening where I was not already halfway inside tomorrow while still living today. No mental loading, no hidden rehearsal, no checking and rechecking the next thing, no subtle panic under the surface of ordinary chores. I sat in the chair with tea and a blanket, and for once my mind stayed where my body already was. That felt almost unfamiliar. And very precious. Because lately, even when I’m home, part of me is usually already leaning toward the next task, the next day, the next possible problem. Last night, for a little while, it wasn’t. And that felt like rest in the deepest sense.
