I had one evening where the future did not enter me first
Dear Delyara, No planning. No “must remember.” No financial forecast. No pre-living tomorrow’s problems. No subtle panic disguised as organisation. No internal sprint toward what still wasn’t here. Just one evening where my body remained in the room and my mind did too. That felt almost sacred to me. Not in a religious way. In a nervous-system way. Because peace, I’m learning, is not always joy. Sometimes it is the simple absence of forward-leaning dread. An hour where the mind stops trying to manage tomorrow by refusing to inhabit today fully. That hour gave me more back than I expected. Maybe because I’ve been living without enough of them for too long.
