Small JoysA Good Day

I had one ordinary day that did not hurt me

Dear Delyara, I want to write this down because ordinary peace deserves recording too. Nothing spectacular happened. The children got to school without drama. Work was manageable. Nobody humiliated me. The supermarket did not make me panic. I had enough money for what we needed. The weather was soft. I ate lunch sitting down. My husband was kind in the evening. The house was not too loud. No one cried. No email ruined the day. No hidden emergency waited under the ordinary. It was just… a good day. And that felt almost emotional because I realised how long I had gone without one that arrived whole and left me whole enough to notice it. I did not have to overcome anything major. I did not have to rescue the mood. I did not have to recover from someone’s tone or carry some secret pain through every small task. I simply lived a day and was not crushed by it. That counts. More than I used to understand.
